Welcome to Ristorante Gallo d'Oro, an Italian gem nestled in the picturesque streets of Parma. This elegant restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in authentic Italian cuisine with a gourmet twist. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, boasting a cozy yet sophisticated decor that perfectly encapsulates the charm of Italian dining. It's an ideal spot, whether you're out for a romantic date, a gathering with friends, or a special family occasion.

The true highlight of Gallo d'Oro lies in its mouthwatering menu, which showcases the best of regional dishes with a modern flair. Start your culinary journey with their Pappardella ripiena di ricotta affumicata al ragù d'anatra (€16.00), a culinary masterpiece where delicate pasta envelopes a creamy, smoky ricotta filling, complemented by rich duck ragù. Or perhaps, you would prefer the Spaghetti alla chitarra, artfully paired with black garlic and a spicy anchovy sauce (€18.00)—a dish that bursts with flavor in every bite.

For those seeking something indulgent, the Ravioli ripieni alla crema di parmigiano e tartufo nero (€19.00) perfectly combines the earthiness of black truffle with the rich, creamy notes of Parmigiano, providing a truly decadent experience. Each plate is crafted with the finest ingredients and meticulous care, ensuring that every meal is not just food but an experience to savor.

Don't just take my word for it; visitors rave about the delightful offerings. Mandeep Kathuria shares, "This place has amazing food and great service," highlighting their renowned 'tris de tortelli' dish and the unique Vecchia (cooked horse meat), proving Gallo d'Oro's commitment to regional specialties. Another patron, Pablito, appreciates the warm, welcoming ambiance and mentions that the friendly staff adds to the dining experience, making it feel both elegant and approachable.

As you sip on rich Italian coffee or enjoy a selection of desserts—perhaps steering clear of the tiramisu, as suggested by some reviews—you’ll find that the fine food is wonderfully complemented by the accommodating and attentive service from the staff. They ensure that every aspect of your visit is memorable, from the moment you step in until the last sip of your cappuccino (€2.00).

In a city renowned for its culinary heritage, Ristorante Gallo d'Oro stands out as a beacon of fine Italian dining. Treat yourself to a delicious meal that captures the essence of Parma, and immerse yourself in an elegant yet cozy dining experience that you won’t soon forget. Your table awaits!

This place has amazing food and great service. I recommend the 'tris de tortelli' dish to taste all 3 types of tortelli that they serve. I also tried Vecchia (cooked horse mest), and loved it. They can definitely improve their Tiramisu, so won't recommend it. Try some other dessert may be. Overall, a great place to unwind and have amazing food in the heart of Parma.

An excellent restaurant, which, despite its very elegant aura, maintains a surprisingly close-to-the-customer manner. Very friendly and committed waiters and low prices complement the delicious food, which includes local specialties, led by stuffed pasta or meats (the menu includes horse dishes unique to the region in various versions). The menu is relatively short and to the point, which I consider as a sign of professionalism. I also recommend the restaurant because of its beautiful interior and amazing cellars, which take you back hundreds of years — contrary to appearances, this is not the standard in Parma restaurants.

For our first dinner in Parma, we went to Gallo D’Oro, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The service was excellent! We were seated immediately. Our server was very helpful in educating us about the various things that they had on the menu. We started off with Culatello di Zibella, torta frittata, strolghino, and a platter of assorted cheeses. We then had stuffed pappardelle with duck ragu, and cappelletti with strolghino ragu. Both were excellent. We finished our meal with some Panna cotta and crème brûlée. Everything was so good that we came back a couple days later. On our second visit, we again started off with some Culatello di Zibella and torta fritta, and this time we had duck breast in a red spruce bud syrup, and veal in a Parmigiano Reggiano sauce. Again, everything was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend visiting Gallo D’Oro if you ever find yourself in Parma!

A Truly Exceptional Dining Experience in Parma! My recent visit to Gallo d'Oro was an absolute delight from start to finish. I started with the Parma ham starter selection, which was truly amazing, perfectly complemented by the traditional fried bread. For the main course, the pasta dishes were incredibly tasty, and I must specifically commend the truffle pasta – it was nothing short of exceptional! Beyond the exquisite food, the service was incredibly friendly, making the entire meal even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious dining experience in Parma. I can't wait to go back!

Lovely restaurant with a warm ambiance and amazing food. The staff members were welcoming and accommodating. Service was a bit slow but it was understandable as it is quite busy. The ambiance is warm and romantic. Great place to enjoy with friends, family or a date. The theme is something between fine dining in a cozy kitchen. The food was delicious. Everything came fresh and packed with flavor. It makes you want to savor each bite instead of only just eating it. Overall everything was great and I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to everyone and will be returning here again.

A Five-Star Gourmet Experience at Gallo d’Oro This was our second visit to Gallo d’Oro in Parma — and once again, it was a flawless, five-star experience. We returned after a memorable meal last year, and this time was just as impressive. We chose both the starter and the pasta dishes from their gourmet menu. The marinated eggplant with stracciatella and tomato confit was a creative and flavorful entrée. For the primi, we had the parmesan-filled ravioli with tryffel and the spaghetti with anchovy, tarallo crumbs, and spicy tomato — both outstanding in taste and presentation. To finish, we shared a wonderfully creamy tiramisu — so delicious that we truly wished it had been twice the size! The service was warm and efficient, the ambience elegant yet comfortable, and the pricing very reasonable: €76 for three courses, plus a dessert, coffee, and two glasses of excellent red wine. We strongly recommend Gallo d’Oro to anyone visiting Parma. It’s a place where the passion for local flavors, gourmet creativity, and great hospitality come together beautifully. A reservation is a good idea — this place fills up quickly!

Gallo d'Oro Delivers Tradition with Elegance Nestled in a quiet side street just off the bustling nightlife of Parma, Gallo d'Oro is offering a true Emilian cuisine. From the moment you step inside, the warm, intimate atmosphere sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. We began with the prosciutti misti and parmigiani misti—a plate that felt like a love letter to Parma itself. The selection of cured hams was impeccable, each slice melting on the tongue with rich, savory depth. Paired with aged Parmigiano Reggiano in varying maturations, it was a masterclass in texture and flavor. The Pappardelle al ragù was rustic perfection: wide ribbons of fresh pasta generously coated in a slow-cooked meat sauce that was both hearty and refined. Every bite spoke of tradition and care. As main course, the tris di Tortellino, a trio of stuffed pasta, each with its own distinct filling and sauce, offering a playful yet sophisticated tour of regional flavors. It was the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-conversation just to savor the moment. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the wine list offered excellent local pairings. Our dog Toffee spend a great moment too. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or simply looking to taste the soul of Parma, Gallo d'Oro is a must-visit.

Great selection of all kinds of wine, local and regional appetizers, charcuterie boards, main dishes and desserts. Cocktails and other drinks are available too.
